This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website and the enquiries and work that follow from it.

What this website collects

This site is a static website. It has no user accounts, no database and no server-side processing of your input. Specifically:

  • We set no cookies and run no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
  • The contact form does not transmit anything to us by itself.When you press “Send enquiry”, the details you typed are placed into a draft email in your own email application. Nothing reaches us until you choose to send that email.
  • Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. These logs are handled by the hosting provider under their own terms.

Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps and any social profiles take you to third-party services that have their own privacy policies. We have no control over what those services collect.

Information you give us directly

When you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or through a site visit, we may collect and keep:

  • your name, phone number and email address;
  • the address of the property or site where work is required;
  • details of the work you are asking about, including photographs you send us;
  • records created while quoting and carrying out work: quotations, invoices, measurement records, test results and completion documents.

Why we use it

We use this information only to:

  • respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation;
  • plan, carry out and document the electrical work you engage us for;
  • raise invoices and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires;
  • handle warranty, defect-liability and safety matters after completion;
  • contact you about work in progress or work we have previously done for you.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to the work you asked us about.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary:

  • with our own electricians and supervisors, so they can carry out the work at your site;
  • with suppliers or specialist subcontractors, limited to what they need to deliver materials or complete a specific part of the job;
  • with government departments, inspectors or clients’ engineers where a tender, approval or statutory inspection requires it;
  • with our accountants and, where required, with tax or regulatory authorities;
  • where we are otherwise obliged to do so by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they are useful, and then deleted. Records relating to work we carried out, such as quotations, invoices, test results and completion documents, are kept for as long as warranty, safety, accounting and statutory purposes require, then securely disposed of.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security. What we can promise is that we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete information we no longer need to keep for legal, accounting or safety reasons;
  • stop contacting you.
