Curtain Automation

Motorised curtains are one of the few automation upgrades people use every single day. What separates a good installation from a bad one is bracket alignment, track quality, and a motor quiet enough to run at six in the morning.

How we approach it

What the job involves.

The track and brackets come first

Most curtain automation complaints turn out to be mechanical, not electronic. A track that flexes or a bracket that's out of line will jam any motor you put on it. We set the track true and load-test the run before commissioning the motor.

Power planned into the pelmet

If the building is still under construction we drop a concealed supply into the pelmet, so no cable is ever on show. In finished rooms we route through the pelmet or cornice and colour-match the trunking.

Quiet enough for a bedroom

Bedrooms and nurseries get DC motors with soft start and stop. A curtain that wakes up the room it's opening has rather missed the point.
